English & Reading Club

Today was our first CCA. The English & Reading Club welcomed its 19 members. To see quite a number of boys in our club was refreshing as reading is more popular among girls.

In the first part, the students had to figure out a puzzle. How do you arrive at the word L-O-V-E from H-A-T-E by changing only one letter at a time?

HATE

LATE

LITE

LIVE

LOVE
The girls came up with the answer!

Then they wrote a diamond poem based on themes such as friend-enemy, born-buried, animal-human, life-death, teacher-student and so on.

Before we ended today's session, the students helped organize the books in the reading room. Thank you for your help and see you next week!

For the next session, please bring colour pencils or felt-tip pens, a reading journal & your completed diamond poem.

Writing a diamond poem. The girls came up with interesting themes.

The girls rearranging fiction books

Putting a book in its original position. Not a difficult thing to do.

Thank you girls!
