New Books, Reading Room & Scholastic Issue 7

The new books you've read about in the previous posts are not in the reading room yet. Before they're placed in the reading room, the books have to be recorded, stamped and labeled.  Hopefully they will be available after exams are over.

Since it is fast approaching the end of the school year, students are not allowed to borrow books home.  If you are still hanging on to a book or more, please return them as soon as possible.

Although borrowing books home is discontinued for the year, you are still allowed to read books during silent reading and English lessons. Ask your teacher to bring your class to the reading room if it is available.

Regarding Scholastic, the deadline for submitting your orders has arrived.  All your orders were already sent. Please check this blog for updates on collecting your orders. 

Thank you to those who placed their orders because the school received $20 worth of free books.Only two new books were chosen and they will be available in the reading room next year.

I also spent some of our accumulated school vouchers to buy 5 new books. Look out for a new series which will be available in the reading room next year!

 

There will be no more ordering this year. If you haven't used your credit voucher, don't worry! Please keep your voucher in a safe place and redeem it next year!

A big thank you to everyone who purchased items from Scholastic.Your support has allowed the English department to get more books for the reading room. I think we have received probably around 40 books since we started in 2008.
